Our client, a leading Software, Information, and Communication Technologies company, with offices around the globe, is looking for a Business Analystto join their innovative team in Brussels, Belgium.They are a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations, and multinational companies, research, and academic institutes.

Requirements

Ideal candidates should have:

  • A university degree in IT or a related field and 9 years of IT professional experience

  • At least 4 years of experience with business requirements analysis

  • Fluency in English required

  • A minimum 3 years of experience in drafting/reviewing user documentation of an information system

  • At least 2 years of experience with business modelling techniques

  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence is an advantage

  • Good knowledge of information system matters

  • Good knowledge of large organisation administrative business processes

  • Good knowledge of BPMN or UML or other with equivalent value

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile)

  • Capability to speak to business and technical audience

  • Ability to apply high quality standards in the IS quality control procedures

  • Good knowledge of web application testing

  • Knowledge of project management methodology is an advantage (e.g. Prince, PMI)

  • Ability to work in a proactive and autonomous way

  • Good knowledge of ICT tools, in particular user access management and change management is considered a plus

  • Ability to apply high quality standards

  • Very good problem solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Business requirements

  • Functional requirements and business cases analysis

  • Business model analysis

  • Business process modelling

  • Supporting the on-boarding and follow-up of the assignment of roles to internal and external users

  • Maintaining updated lists of users and corresponding roles. For this purpose, the new hire would be liaising with the appointed key users and points of contact by managing a functional mailbox

  • Providing technical assistance to external users in accessing the platform and, when appropriate, resolving issues related to authentication (e.g. resetting passwords)

  • Supporting in the preparation of training activities to internal and external users, especially in the context of crisis cases and simulation exercises. Additionally, identified issues should be reported for fixings and enhancements in the platform

  • Ensuring that the treatment of the data is aligned to the changes in the structure and its stakeholders, especially related to adjustments in the lists of banks, contact types and supporting documents

  • Creating the necessary tickets in the ICT Service Desk and, when appropriate, initiating Change requests related to the Reference Data

  • Preparing updated versions of the Governance playbook according to the established procedure based on business needs and ICT tools

  • Supporting in the design of the data and access facilities of upcoming releases, especially in relation to the functionalities depending on reference data

  • Contributing to the maintenance of relevant user documentation of the platform, such as for example user manuals and e-learning modules

  • Assist during relevant parts of the User acceptance tests for the concerned information systems

  • Production of business training material related to the information system

  • Analysing incidents and problems reported by users
