About Our Client

Our client is a dynamic and expanding player in the retail sector, operating a wide network of stores across Belgium. With customer experience and operational excellence at the core of their mission, they’re now reinforcing their finance team to better support strategic growth.

They are looking for a Business Controller to join the head office.

Job Description
  • Reporting to the Head of Controlling, you’ll be the finance business partner for various departments, driving performance and helping steer key decisions.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting.
  • Analyze sales trends, margins, and operational KPIs.
  • Support retail operations with financial insights and dashboards.
  • Improve cost control and propose margin-optimizing initiatives.
  • Follow up on investments and business case analysis.
  • Participate in monthly closings and support audit preparations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of controlling tools and processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, marketing, and store operations.
  • Provide support for strategic projects and ad hoc analyses.
The Successful Applicant
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in controlling, FP&A or audit.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or multi-site operations is a strong plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of French, Dutch, and English.
  • Strong analytical and business partnering skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP/BI tools (e.g. SAP, Power BI, etc.).
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, commercial environment.
