About Our ClientMy client is a Belgian company with more then 30 years of expertise in a unique field - decorative Christmas themed installations for shopping malls, hotels, airports etc.Post Covid, these spaces are more than ever looking for creative ways to offer their visitors an extraordinary live experience as this now plays a huge part in the overall customer satisfaction.My client specialises in sourcing the most premium equipment and bringing in its technical expertise combined with aesthetic & creativity to those stakeholders. As the demand grows, the company has increased its production capacity and is now looking to permanently recruit a New Business Developer for the Netherlands.Job DescriptionAs New Business Developer for the Netherlands you are responsible for :



  • Initiating new business in the Netherlands & in Flanders from scratch : mapping out all potential prospects, create contacts, introduce the company’s services, collect all the necessary information for being able answer tenders.
  • closely collaborating with the internal support team in the redaction of a tailored proposal for the client based on technical parameters, budget & bringing in your personal creativity and eye for the aesthetic
  • collaborating with the Sales Director to develop the most effective commercial strategy for your market, in line with its potential and the growth perspectives of the market
  • Once first contacts/contracts have been established, shifting the approach to long-term oriented and ensuring a high retention rate of clients over the years.
  • the role involves a substantial quantity of travels to the Netherlands to meet with clients, visit the locations and follow up/intervene in the montage of the installations. Depending on your location (Belgium or Netherlands) you are responsible to schedule a coherent agenda including clients visits & punctual meetings with the team in Belgium.
The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will have :



  • Have min. 3 years of professional experience, ideally in sales
  • Fluency in Dutch is mandatory, together with fluency in English In addition to these hard criteria, my client is looking for a specific personality. So you’ll be the right person for this role & employer if you :- Proactivity & Dynamism - you are truly enthusiast about the service, get your energy from initiating new contacts and winning the trust of new partners
  • You are Solution-oriented - you are service oriented and naturally go the extra mile to find the right solution for your client, you proactively reach out to people who can support you in developing that solution
  • You are Creative and have an eye for aesthetic - no client project is the same, you take into account the subjective parameters to create the most unique & beautiful "vibe" for your client
  • You are ambitious & look for a long-term project - The Netherlands is an identified high potential market for my client. But as your seniority grows within the role, you’ll be able to initiate your own project by approaching new markets (most likely the Middle East) and further develop your scope.
