Your responsibilities as the new Chief Accountant:

• Leading month-end account closing procedures, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
• Maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts, upholding accuracy and full compliance with regulatory standards.
• Preparing and finalising the annual accounts in accordance with BE GAAP and IFRS, demonstrating a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
• Efficiently manage the preparation of payment runs while maintaining daily, accurate records of bank statements.
• Take ownership of tax preparation and filing activities, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and minimizing risks.
• Drive financial improvement by conducting in-depth analysis and assessing internal controls to optimize processes and internal controls.
• Generate impactful cash flow statements, management reports, and respond to ad hoc reporting requests, collaborating closely with the Global Director of Finance to support informed decision-making.
• Play a role in supporting the auditor.

Your Profile:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a Master’s degree in Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an AZ accountant in a manufacturing sector.
• A strong command of SAP is a significant asset.
• Possessing an intricate understanding of tax legislation, along with a comprehensive grasp of both IFRS and BE GAAP.
• You have the ability to lead and manage a team.
• Fluent in English and proficient in either French or Dutch.
