Company Description

Live the World is a venture-backed travel tech company. Its AI assistant Maya helps travel agencies generate more custom trip bookings, with less manual effort. The AI assistant inspires website visitors, and guides them to the most relevant destinations and trips.

Maya combines LLMs (Large Language Models) with a travel-specific UX/UI, and proprietary data from Live the World’s B2C platform. It is available as a white-label SaaS, trained on the client’s content and trips.

Besides this B2B offering, Live the World also runs the B2C travel sites livetheworld.com and itinari.com - filled with thousands of stories from locals, attracting 500.000 unique visitors per month.

Role Description: Chief Commercial Officer

Now that we are launching the first pilots of our AI assistant SaaS, we need to start preparing to fully launch commercially in Belgium and abroad. As CCO, you will be in charge of defining the commercial strategy, executing it in the first market(s), and then building a team to scale internationally. You’ll be part of the management team, and work closely together wit the founder to shape and execute the strategy of the company.

You are the right person if:

  • You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • You have a strong track record selling Software-as-a-Service
  • You are a tech enthousiast, always leveraging the latest tools to automate your work
  • You are passionate about AI technology, and use ChatGPT or GPT-based tools every day
  • You have experience in the travel industry, or are keen to learn more about it
  • You can prospect and build long-term relationships with senior-level executives
  • You are entrepreneurial and hands-on
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Practicalities

  • Full-time employee or contractor with long-term commitment
  • Fluent in English, other European languages are a plus
  • Possibility to get stock options or even become partner / late co-founder
  • Partly remote, partly in Antwerp
