About the job:

Based in Mons, BEL you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join the NATO Infrastructure Services Centre (NISC), which is accountable for planning and executing the full lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for the identified area of responsibility. NISC provides generic, domain independent, technical functionality that enables and facilitates the operation and use of Information Technology resources.

We are looking for two driven and enthusiastic professionals - one Principal Technician (Secure Access Services Edge)andone Chief Technician (Secure Access Services Edge) -who will take on the following roles and responsibilities, amongst other:

  • Support the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned services in the area of responsibility (CISS), consisting of the delivery of the NATO Enterprise Edge Services including, but not limited to, hybrid-cloud Edge services, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and On-Prem DMZ services;
  • Coordinate and provide effective Level 2/3 support services (including, but not limited to, technical help desk and emergency on-site assistance) to ensure assigned services remain operational;
  • Apply and maintain security configurations of Edge Service appliances and applications;
  • Collect logs, provide performance monitoring, and tuning for assigned services.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 4 years post-related experience. Alternatively, a secondary educational qualification with 6 years post-related experience;
  • Sound knowledge of TCP/IP based networks and related protocols;
  • Practical experience with the management of DNS/DHCP solutions, Remote Access VPNs, SMTP Gateways, Secure Web Proxies and Load Balancers:
  • Practical experience in implementing and maintaining cloud based DDOS, and Web Application Firewall protection:
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills:
  • Experience in Incident and Request Fulfilment Management:
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
