With this technology, we build up material in layers using a high intensity laser until it becomes a solid product.
Unlike conventional production techniques, this one does not render any material loss, nor does it require any
tooling. It does however, enable the designers to manufacture very complex geometries which are not
producible using the traditional techniques.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a team member of the Global Procurement organization, the Commodity Buyer will be responsible for
procuring machines, assemblies, components, materials and spare parts. He/she will work with assigned
suppliers to meet quality, on-time delivery and price requirements, thereby taking initiatives for continuous
improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build expertise for your commodities and own the supplier relationship
  • Ensure parts availability through timely issuance of Purchase Orders and active follow up
  • Use KPI’s to measure supplier performance and define corrective actions to achieve progress
  • Collaborate with SQE, R&D, Manufacturing and participate in/lead cross functional projects
  • Manage your suppliers to resolve quality & quantity discrepancies and perform risk mitigation
  • Establish a reliable and competitive supply base in line with your commodity strategy
  • Award business to suppliers which add most value and assure smooth new launches
  • Achieve year-over-year targeted cost reductions
  • Drive change management to support the move to the ‘next level’
PROFILE
• Minimum 7 years of demonstrated and successful procurement experience
  • Master or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in Business/Economics
  • Candidates have preferably been working in a machine manufacturing environment
  • Proven negotiation/persuading/conflict management success
  • Hands on (dynamic/flexible), initiator, structured, speed of execution, critical, taking decisions
  • Strong verbal and formal communication skills, regular reporting out tuned to the respective
audience and assertive to build network with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to define problems, hypothesize, collect appropriate data and draw valid conclusions
  • Fluent in English, other languages (Dutch, French, German) are an asset
  • Willingness to visit suppliers on site for follow up and to gain production process expertise
