The role

We’re looking for a Compliance Manager who will be at the crossroads of tax, local compliance and product advisory.

You will specifically be working on making sure our clients can adopt a fully paperless and compliant expense management process in the countries we operate. The topics covered are subject to constant change and we want to help our clients to anticipate the impact and optimize their processes to new regulations.

This is a varied role, as you’ll be one of our internal compliance experts, working with our product team to introduce new features, connect with external advisors and service providers, and maintain our local compliance knowledge center.

Ideally, you have some experience in the area of taxable employee benefits, local company tax knowledge (VAT reclaim) or implementation of an expense management tool in one or more countries. This role is part of the Operations team.

What you will be doing

  • Work across teams and functions to design and build world-class products and services to help our clients adopt a fully paperless and compliant expense management process in the countries we operate. (Primarily for European countries, LATAM and North-America as a secondary focus)
  • Monitor market developments, including relevant legislative changes on mileage and per diems rates, e-invoicing requirements, taxable employee benefits etc. and translate these into actionable input for our broader product and engineering teams
  • Investigate customer needs and product opportunities and translating these into tangible product recommendations
  • Work with external advisers and service providers to ensure our products and systems are meeting the highest technical and content standards
  • You will be working closely with our current Success, Sales, Engineering, and Product teams.

Qualifications

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in auditing or tax compliance
  • Both public accounting / legal firm and industry experience
  • Passionate about technology and innovation
  • Able to distill complex requirements into concrete action steps
  • Solution oriented, don’t take no for an answer
  • Have full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken
  • Being compassionate and a true team player!
