Job Description

Risk and Compliance Controller (SOX)

This Includes Following Activities

You are responsible for the coordination and execution of the activities to ensure compliance with the SOX regulation for a part of the processes (finance and IT processes).
  • You describe relevant processes and document these in clear flowcharts;
  • You identify and assess the key risks within these processes and the related controls;
  • You validate the correct operation and timely execution of the controls;
  • You analyze and document control deficiencies and follow up on them;
  • You identify changes that have an impact on the risk and control framework;
  • You have an advising and supporting role during the implementation of new processes / projects which have an impact on the SOX risk and control framework;
  • You have a supporting role for the set-up of new controls;
  • You report to the SOX Manager and maintain contacts with the various departments involved, our main shareholder Liberty Global and the external financial auditor.
Profile
  • You have obtained at least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an economic field);
  • You have a first experience in Audit, Accountancy or Finance of at least 2-4 years. Experience in IT controls and auditing, or strong affinity with IT are an advantage;
  • You can analyze, structure and process different types of information;
  • Accuracy is one of your strongest qualities;
  • You are strong in oral and written communication in Dutch / English, and this with people at different levels in the organization;
  • You have the necessary assertiveness;
  • You can independently plan and monitor your own work;
  • You are familiar with the use of MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
