For our Controling department at our office in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for a Controlling Manager (m/f/x).

Your
responsibilities

• Budget-to-Report Process for the Belgian Legal Entities
  • Develop and manage the quarterly and annual budget and forecasting processes for all legal entities within the Fluxys Belgium Group
  • Develop Multi-Year Plans (MYP) for these entities, in collaboration with departments such as Regulatory, Business Development, M&A, and Financial Accounting
  • Review and analyze financial figures, explaining variances against the budget, forecasts, prior periods, Multi-Year Plans (MYPs), and tariff proposals

• Budget-to-Report Process at Fluxys Belgium Group Level
  • Manage the budget-to-report process for the Fluxys Belgium Group, including preparing financial reports for boards, audit committees, and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with support from the Consolidation department
  • Prepare the Medium Term Plan (MTP) for the Belgium Group Participate in the external reporting process, including the preparation of the annual report, works council report, and press releases for all financial matters

• Investor Relations
  • Respond to financial inquiries from investors in close collaboration with the external communications department
  • Prepare investor presentations and participate in roadshows

• Cost Allocation Monitoring and SLAs
  • Monitor cost allocations between departments and entities
  • Coordinate the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources department on the budget reporting process for staffing costs to ensure optimal cost allocation

• Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to deliver financial insights and recommendations
  • Provide financial expertise and guidance to business units to enhance performance and achieve strategic objectives

• Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor the controlling team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

About
you

• You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• You bring at least 5 years of experience in a controlling or financial management role in an industrial environment, or in audit consultancy
• You excel at analyzing complex financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights
• You have excellent communication skills and can present financial information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders
• You are proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with advanced knowledge of Excel
• You have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting and analysis
• You possess strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
• You have strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
• Experience in the energy sector and or in a regulatory environment is a plus
• Experience in managing a team would be a strong asset
