For one of his clients, Robert Half is looking for a driven self-starter Country Accounting & Tax Manager (M/F/X) who will become a key contributor to the company in the Grand Duchy.

Our client is a leading tourism group founded in the 1970’s. Headquartered in Palma de Mallorca, they develop their business with a 100% family essence that has led them to become a reference in the industry on a global scale. Their raison d’être is to create exciting experiences. To this end, they are present throughout the entire travel value chain through their hotel, residential and golf division, their tour operator and incoming service provider, and other at-destination services that complement their offer. The Luxembourg office currently employs one full time staff member.
As a Country Accounting & Tax Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for overseeing general office operation, managing and coordinating the financial, accounting, tax and legal documentation of the Company. This person will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Overseeing general office operation;
- Managing relationships with public entities, external advisors, suppliers and financial entities;
- Managing and preparing the financial, accounting, tax and legal documentation of the Company;
- Preparing the monthly financial reporting and all statutory financial reporting, in collaboration and interdependence with the other financial teams;
- Identify potential in-country finance issues, research, and work with HQ office;
- Monitoring the banking reconciliation process with the correlation of balances and the recording of all movements and interdependence with the Group treasury department;
- Planning and monitoring internal and external accounting audits to ensure the traceability and accuracy of the financial information;
- Be a key person and point of contact for various stakeholders and internal colleagues;
- Deal with ad hoc finance related projects.
Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
- Minimum 6 years of experience working in international finance departments;
- International accounting and tax experience required;
- Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English is a must, French considered as a Strong Asset;
- Luxembourg residency is a must (for future directorship);
- Experience managing financial programs;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Adept at problem solving;
- Candidate must be self-motivated and willing to work in an autonomous way (stand-alone position for a year time);
- Attention to detail, hands-on, proactive, independent, open with a proven "can do" attitude;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience working well under pressure.
