About Foodpairing®

Foodpairing® is a food tech company and a pioneer in the digitization of food. We built the largest flavor database in the world and developed a platform that identifies the aromatic connections between ingredients.

Food companies use our CFI (consumer flavor intelligence) platform to develop better products, faster. We reduce their time to market and increase the success rate of their product launches. Our platform is also used by chefs and consumers, who use it to discover new exciting flavor combinations.

Culinary internship - ingredient sourcing

To make our algorithms even better, Foodpairing® analyzes new ingredients from all around the world.. We are currently looking for 2 interns with a passion for food to help us collect and process these new ingredients. As an intern at Foodpairing, you will help us analyse these food samples by labelling them and provide support in sensory analysis. In addition you will experiment with new pairings, cook creative, exciting and develop new recipes or foods products according to the scientific principles applied at Foodpairing.

Responsibilities
  • Ingredient sourcing
    • You order food products from all over the world. You are present in the office to receive and store these orders
    • In collaboration with our lab technician, you label all samples so that the proper analysis can be done
    • You register all samples into our database
  • Culinary experiments, product development, cooking / recipe creation
    • Be part of a product development team and build new products.
    • you let your creativity run wild and create and cook recipes with the ingredients you ordered
    • You share your recipes and product knowledge with the Foodpairing team
    • Digital blog content creation
      • You write food related content and articles for our Foodpairing blog
    • Sensory analysis
      • if you pass your sensory analysis test, you may be involved in tasting and describing food products
    Who are you?
    • You are currently enrolled in a culinary or nutrition related education or you have relevant experience
    • You are passionate about food and the science behind it
    • In addition to cooking, you like to do administrative work and you are a punctual worker
    • You have excellent written and verbal skills in English, any other language is considered a plus
    • You are a great team player and the opportunity to partner with team members cross-functionally excites you
