Data Analyst

Do you enjoy digging into data to see the patterns and trends emerging? Do you have a passion to drive business strategies with data? Do you like discovering new ways to use existing data differently and give better insights to the business?

If these questions strike a chord, then you might be the data analyst we are looking for to strengthen our team. You’ll be part of the ‘Business Insights Discovery team’ within the Data Acceleration Tribe.

This centralized team of 7 data analysts focuses on:

• Conducting in-depth data analysisto provide strategic insights and deliver actionable recommendations to address key business challenges.
• Fundamentally improving how we do data analysisat Telenet by setting standards and building solid frameworks.
  

As a team we always tackle these strategic and fundamental questions on a project basis with a small subteam.

Your tasks as a data analyst:

• You understand the business question and can structure it into clear analysis questions or hypothesis
• You query, clean and manipulate the data you need from different sources
• You perform deep-dive data analysiswith the relevant techniques
• You critically assessand validate your results, and can define next steps
• You work with your team members to bring all the learnings together and to find the bigger story and patterns
• You presentyour insights to stakeholders, within or outside of the data tribe
• You supportyour colleagues and help them where possible
  

Our ideal candidate has …

• Hands-on experience as a data analyst: either professionally or project-based during studies, bootcamp or extracurricular projects.
• A Master’s degreein Econometrics, (Applied) Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Social Sciences or an equivalent experience.
• Solid analytical and dataskills.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, SASor equivalent. The willingness to learn SQL and Python if not yet proficient.
• A passion to learn statistical modeling and analysistechniques.
• Critical thinking, and a problem-solvingand result-driven mindset.
• Fluent in English.Knowledge of Dutch/French is a bonus.
