Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) ;
• Experience with data warehouse design ;
• Experience with ETL processes ;
• Working experience with SharePoint ;
• Demonstrated competence and experience with programming languages such as C#, Python or R ;
• Experience with dashboard development on Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools ;
• Experience with BMC ITSM/ITSM data ;
• ITIL v3 or higher Certificate ;
• BMC Remedy Smart Reporting tool .

Duties/role

• Tak ing responsibility for the accessibility, retrievability and security of specific subsets of data ;
• Assess ing the integrity of data from multiple sources (including, Data from sensors measurement systems or ticketing systems) ;
• Maintain ing and implement ing information handling procedures ;
• Enabl ing the availability, integrity and search ability of information through the application of formal data structures and protection measures ;
• Manipulat ing specific data from information services, to satisfy local or specific information needs ;
• Investigat ing enterprise data requirements, and appl ying data analysis, data modelling and quality assurance techniques, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions) ;
• Provid ing advice and guidance to database designers and others using the data structures and associated components ;
• Collect ing required data through various data sources ;
• Utiliz ing designated data analysis software (both internal and external software) to analyze data ;
• Appl ying data analysis and data modelling techniques to establish, modify, and maintain data structure, and its associated components ;
• Writ ing reports from data analysis to help decision making at the senior level ;
• Investigat ing data requirements in the software development process ;
• Participat ing in designing blueprints on how to structure, store an utilize data ;
• Follow ing standards, processes and methodologies to develop each phase of data architecture (e.g. data manipulating processes, database technology generating processes) ;
• Select ing criteria used to support data processing operations, data flow and the flow control system ;
• Detect ing and summariz ing patterns in data and findings by producing simple reports ;
• Assess ing common problems and obstacles surrounding data gathering ;
• Customiz ing data fields to meet clients’ needs ;
• Interpret ing and explai ning results of a data-gathering initiative ;
• Participat ing in projects to gather data for needs analysis ;
• Compil ing user requirements and specifications for reports ;
• Design ing , creat ing and test ing SQL reports using SSRS, Power BI and Excel ;
• Validat ing report functionality with internal staff/end users ;
• Respond ing to users to troubleshoot and/or improve existing reports ;
• Design ing /develop ing ETL processes, data models and data warehouses .
