Volvo Group, worldwide leader of transportation solutions, is looking for BI developers to work in our sites located in Sweden (Gothenburg, Skövde) or in France (Lyon).

You will be part of the Volvo Group IT Organization. Firstly, to the Infrastructure and Onsite Services (IOS) department, which count 600 employees worldwide, and is mainly in charge of the IT Infrastructure and delivery execution for IT services through local presence. Secondly, to the Quality & Security (Q&S) department.

Quality & Security is a new function providing to every IT delivery team within Volvo Group the capacity to operate efficiently their IT quality and security. Our mission is functionally driving and steering IT quality and IT security across the entire IT delivery organizations of the Volvo Group based on 4 pillars:

• Lean transformation of IT delivery teams
• Living process organization around Service Now tool
• Fast and agile one-time delivery organization
• Agile security and vulnerability management
  

You will be reporting to the Performance Management manager in Q&S and work in close collaboration with Infrastructure & Operations teams, Service Level Management leader, Cyber Security, our suppliers (e.g. HCL) as well as other delivery units.

Data Engineer is a critical part of the performance management function to secure that we have the skills, the knowledge and the tools to turn data into knowledge.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, build and integrate data from various sources to manage big data
• Query and process data, provide reports, summarize and visualize data
• Leverage existing tools and methods to solve a problem, and help people from across the company understand specific queries with ad-hoc reports and charts
• Data filtering and data optimization
• Building Analysis Services reporting models
• Translate business needs to technical specifications
• Create structures & tools to store data
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems e.g. Power BI
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
• Develop and update technical documentation
  

Your Profile:

Mandatory:

• Graduated with a bachelor or master’s degree in technical/IT/Big data/statistics, you have at least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
• Excellent in analytical thinking
• Team player
• Service oriented mindset
• Good communication & presentation skills since you will have strong stakeholder interactions, inside and outside Volvo Group
• Has a good all-around IT knowledge
• Complete proficiency in English
  

Advantageous:

• Experience as a BI developer
• Experience from working with ServiceNOW
  

Location

Limited to our main sites in Sweden (Gothenburg or Skövde), France (Lyon), Belgium (Ghent) and Poland (Wroclaw).
