About The Job

The Data Governance Expert is responsible for the data governance model at Telenet to increase and promote the speed and operational excellence of data-driven decision-making processes.

Your Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for simple, value-oriented and pragmatic data governance to increase and promote the speed and operational excellence of data-driven decision making processes by developing the definition and management of the data governance framework and its components, proposing strategic agenda, prioritizing business requirements and coordinating their implementation.
  • Translating, communicating and promoting the business strategy and vision linked to data, taking into account all stakeholders by e.g. bringing a perspective on best practices and advising on data strategy.
  • Designing data domains and assigning clear roles & responsibilities across the organisation, making data the responsibility of all.
  • Being responsible for monitoring, facilitating and identifying opportunities around data quality by establishing priority quality criteria, quality metrics and the related measurement strategy and tools, as well as prioritising and initiating corrective actions and monitoring progress.
  • Defining, implementing and improving the necessary processes, guidelines and (technical) tools.
  • Establish a data-first culture where data can be discovered, trusted and used by all. Develop training material and ensure that the required training reaches colleagues by setting up change management activities, coaching & information exchange sessions, etc.
Your Profile
  • Master or Bachelor degree in IT, Commercial Engineering or equivalent or minimum 5 years of working experience (incl. 2 years of experience working in a Data Governance and/or Data Quality function)
  • Have experience with tools for data governance (Collibra), Data Quality,MDM,...
  • Have a good understanding of data architecture
  • Affinity with all aspects of data and be able to make the link to business
  • Act as mentor and coach for the internal and external stakeholders.
