Robert Half is looking for a Data Scientist for his client located in the Walloon Brabant.


Robert Half is looking for a Data Scientist for his client located in the Walloon Brabant.

Our client is an industrial company located in Ottignies.

Your mission is to manage data science projects from begin to end including: working with large amount of data, choosing and implementing algorithms, creating models and presentation of the findings. This position will interface between the production industrial process and data science technology with improvement objectives on different subjects such as data monitoring, signal processing, soft sensors, process regulation, process optimization.

Your main responsibilities are :

  • Leverage a large volume of data to improve production lines operations
  • Develop and employ analytical programs, machine learning and statistical methods to prepare data and analyze trends and patterns by using predictive and prescriptive modelling technics
  • Collaborate with plants production teams and technical coordination department

For this recruitment, your qualifications are:

  • You have a Master or Engineering Degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or Physics
  • A first experience as a data scientist or similar role is a plus
  • A good knowledge of statistical computing and graphic language (Python / R) is a must as well as the ability to work with data warehouse environment (SQL, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle, Talend)
  • BI reporting tools knowledge is a real plus (Tableau)
  • An experience with ETL tools is a real plus (Tableau prep, Anatella, Talend, Alteryx)
  • Fluent in English (essential), knowledge of an other European language is a plus
  • You are a real team player, able to work with autonomy
  • You are ready to develop your skills and learn within a growing structure
  • You have a strong analytical mind and you enjoy solving challenging problems by using innovative approaches
  • You are an efficient communicator able to navigate in a multicultural environment
  • You are willingto travel for short missions abroad
