UNI MEI (UNI Europa) and its project partners FERA and FSE are seeking a Database Project Researcher
Description of the project The European Directors & Screenwriters Contracts Database was created in 2019 to allow comparison between terms of audiovisual authors’ contracts. It is a collaborative online tool offering the possibility to compare the terms and provisions of more than 45 anonymous individual authors’ contracts from 30 European countries, translated in English, broken into paragraphs and classified in several categories.
European Directors & Screenwriters Contracts Database: https://www.authorscontracts.eu/ In the context of a new scheme funded by Directorate
General for Employment of the European Union, the project partners will develop new tools to facilitate collective bargaining and social dialogue between authors, producers, broadcasters, and streamers. Among these tools, the project partners will add two new modules to the existing database mentioned above:
- the first new module will provide an overview in English of the provisions on fair remuneration of the European Copyright Directive in 10 EU member states. The overview will compare the provisions on transparency obligation, contractual adjustment mechanism and dispute resolution.
- the second new module will provide English versions of related collective agreements from the same 10 EU member states and compare the key elements of the provisions.

He/she will attend meetings with the partners, the expert committee and may be asked to participate in the project workshops and webinars as appropriate.
He/she will not be expected to technically develop the two databases but will work closely with the legal expert and web designer to make sure that the contents of the modules match the technical format of the website.
He/ she will break down and upload collective agreements on fair remuneration from the same EU member states in the second module.
