JD: -Desktop Support Engineer

Timings – 8:00am to 5:00pm, Weekday(Monday to Friday)

Address: BelGan/ON Semiconductor Technology BV,Westering 15 Oudenaarde 9700 Belgium

Duration: 1 year

Language Requirement: Fluency in Dutch and English is a must.

Role description:

Procurement of IT material (end-user equipment)

Deploy and install PC’s (IMAC)

Inventory management

Strong Admin skills and IT knowledge.

Position Summary

The team members work with regional technicians, Local IT contacts and the End User Community providing support and delivering on the User Request Services for End User Equipment. This position is an onsite End User facing position.

Role Requirements

Basic understanding of End User Equipment Asset Management

Basic understanding of Web Shop environments

Ability to work in multiple delivery and management tools

Ability to work with Vendors and Purchasing tools

Key Responsibilities

Provide support for End User Requests for all local Volvo Customers.

Ensure the ability to deliver equipment and support according to Service Levels

Responsible for the procurement of assets as per work guidelines

Dialog with equipment suppliers and follow-up of orders.

Manage the local end-user equipment stock/inventory as per process.

Be the natural contact for end-users regarding questions around equipment orders

Ensure documentation and follow-up communications are performed in a professional way

Troubleshoot and resolve system and order issues in the order management systems

Provide or assist in reporting requests on as needed basis.

Essential Skills and Experience

A minimum of three years of IT experience

Excellent Analytical skills

Good Microsoft O365 Suite knowledge and ticket management tool e.g. Service-Now

Local language is mandatory, plus good command of English

Demonstrated team player with a high degree of integrity, credibility, and confidentiality.

Ability to work independently.

Self-started and driven individual.

Mandatory requirement

The resource needs to be a licensed driver

The resource must speak Dutch with ease and be proficient in English as well.

Must be ready or a face-to-face client interview at client site.
