DevOps Engineer Infra

NRB is looking actively for aDevOps Engineer (FR/NL) to joint our team in the social sector, based in Brussels.

The DevOps Engineer will be a member of a team providing a customer sensitive and responsive support, fault resolution and advice service, which ensures the maximum availability, performance and utilization of information systems used by the client customers and employees.

He/She will be responsible for ensuring a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving and ensuring agreed procedures and standards are met.

As a devOps engineer, your responsibilities will be the followings:

• Manage incidents on production-running software : determine the causes, escalate to proper teams, follow-up and solve tickets in the agreed timeframe;
• Troubleshoot/Analyse Windows-based distributed solutions, coordinate with network and infrastructure teams to re-establish the functionality or provide a workaround;
• Help our business to implement and improve their processes with our IT key role by listening and understanding their needs;
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes;
• Perform and coordinate testing DevOps activities and promote DevOps practices;
• Support the developers in their application development mission (DevOps);
• Participate actively to the development of the DevOps team (maintain & create documentation and procedures), able to launch installation in production for releases, changes, …;
• Participate/Manage projects when new tools are needed in our mission;
• Leads in planning and implementing of changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance;
• Monitoring the processes end-to-end and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the downtime;
• Writing scripts to execute monitoring tasks that are out of the scope and capabilities of the monitoring systems;

• A bachelor/master degree in relevant studies or equal by experience;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational ICT team;
• Extensive knowledge of Operating systems: Windows servers;
• Good knowledge in Active directory, IIS, Windows security (event logs, group policies), Microsoft Windows Server & Client OS/O365/Azure;
• A plus is administration experience in a Citrix environment;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to do in-depth troubleshooting of application issues, i.e. read and understand installation logfiles, etc.;
• Proven experience with Scripting tools; such as Powershell, Bash and Perl;
• Database notions (mainly SQL);
• Knowledge in deployment tools like Octopus, Azure DevOps(TFS) is a plus;
• Preferably an understanding of the concepts continuous integration and continuous deployment;
• Perform proactive measures, such as system tuning, to maintain a stable and efficient allocation of system resources;
• You are flexible to implement changes while reducing the impact on the activity of our end-users, working occasionally out of office hours is not an issue;
• Perform and complete service requests (E.g. backups/restores, patch application, user account maintenance, etc.);
• Experience with robot SFTPFTP Architecture, roll-out and troubleshooting skills;
• A good communicator, both verbal and written. Able to collaborate flawless with other technology professionals ( e.g. developers, testers, infrastructure, DBAs, external vendors, etc. ) on key architectural decisions and delivery of work;
• Fluent in French or Dutch (and able to work with colleagues/clients in the other language when required) and good knowledge of English (written and spoken);
