For its Public Affairs department, Cefic is looking for a (m/f/d): Digital Communications Manager

Mission Of The Role

As a data driven creative digital storyteller and digital campaigns manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Cefic’s digital and social media performance and ensuring the way Cefic produces and delivers content on digital channels helps meet its advocacy objectives.

Working closely with colleagues in the Public Affairs, you will be responsible for improving the visibility of our position on key EU policy issues.

The content focus of this role will be the key topics within the EU Green Deal including energy and climate, environmental, health and safety, chemicals, digital and wider industrial policies as well as the regulatory environment concerning implementation of the EU chemicals legislation.

You Will
  • Co-create content for Cefic’s digital channels (website, social media, newsletters etc.)
  • Advise on the best way to “repackage” content to ensure its optimal delivery through digital channels to the right audiences at the right time
  • Manage Cefic’s social listening procedure, providing best practice guidance to the wider Public Affairs team.
  • Use social media listening tools to enhance Cefic’s stakeholder engagement programmes
  • Support the implementation of Cefic’s SEO strategy
  • Management of paid social media campaigns
  • Help monitor and manage analytics to inform and guide Cefic’s communications campaigns
  • Ensure coordination of social media relations with other public affairs initiatives
  • Continue to achieve positive social media coverage
  • Stay ahead of the best practice and emerging trends in digital and social media marketing and storytelling and advise the team accordingly
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, competencies and personal qualities:
  • We put more emphasis to your outstanding track record of successful management and development of digital campaigns rather than your degree
  • Have at least 1-year experience in a role that is similar to this and a background in professional communications
  • Demonstratable experience in digital analytics in campaign optimization
  • Knowledge of social listening and reporting tools
  • Passionate about digital and social media with a strong instinct, especially in the context of EU policy
  • Good understanding of digital landscape and new trends and how they can be applied in EU affairs
  • Fluent in English and at least one other European language; additional languages are a definite asset
  • Data driven storytelling skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly collaborative with strong teamworking spirit
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience with production or editing of audiovisual content is a plus
