Multinational Bio-pharmaceuticals company hiring Director for Buffer Media Production!

My client is a multinational bio-pharmaceutical manufacturer heavily investing in their European expansion. To supply their continued growth across their organisation, they are now hiring a Head of Buffer Media Production,to lead and develop a group of experienced scientist producing buffers and media for the biologics manufacturing teams. The company is highly recognised as a leader in their field, and pushing innovation and technological advances.

In this position you will have the full responsibility for balancing resources to adapt to a changing demand. This includes managing and developing the team, control the costs, and ensure proper computerised systems are in place for the planning of supply and execution of production. You will be dealing with both internal and external partners to supply Buffer and Media, and as such you will work on strict quality standards, to comply with all regulations and guidelines.

As part of the site Leadership team, you will be working with other Heads of Departments to ensure production are running smoothly, timely, and on budget. You will promote the company culture, values, and vision.

The site is located in the beautiful Swiss alps, surrounded by mountains. The area is bustling with new life, and is ideal for outdoor activities. Relocation will be required, and support is given for the whole family.

Responsibilities
  • As part of the leadership team you will lead and develop a group dedicated to Buffer Media
  • Ensure cost efficient and timely production of buffer and media
  • Continuous improvement to the production
  • Contribute to the Quality Assurance activities, including facilitating audits
  • Support innovation projects, and installation of new equipment
You Have
  • A degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or other relevant field
  • Extensive experience in Buffer and Media preparation for various types of cell cultures
  • Significant Leadership and management experience from Pharmaceuticals companies
  • Excellent business and financial understanding
  • LEAN practitioner with at least Green Belt Certification
  • Fluency in English both oral and written
