About Our Client

Our client is a market leader in their own niche, focusing on distribution. They are also one of the largest employers in the Belgian FMCG sector.

Job Description

The Operations Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • You ensure a good follow-up of the KPIs, and everything related to the core activities
  • You will lead the logistics operations with the goal to achieve the company’s objectives in terms of service level and client satisfaction
  • You will ensure important deadlines of the various logistics processes are met, both for the internal teams and for external contacts, so that the packages and deliveries are ready on time.
  • You will conduct logistic analysis to help lower operative costs and identify areas for process improvement
  • You will ensure constant improvement of the procedures by analysing customer complaints and propose solutions.
  • You will be responsible of managing the teams, ensuring a healthy work environment and proper evolution possibilities for the team
  • You will be the point of contact for the union representatives.
The Successful Applicant

The Operations Manager has the following profile:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of experience in logistics as an Operations Manager/Supervisor
  • You have an excellent knowledge of French and a good knowledge of Dutch
  • You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • You have experience in managing operational teams and You have strong leadership skills
  • Capacity to evaluate operational performance
  • You have Excellent organisational skills and analytically insight
  • You have excellent communication skills, strong in negotiation and diplomatic approach
  • You have knowledge of trade unions
  • You are flexible to work in shift
