Job Purpose

Are you looking for an opportunity to support communities within GSK by providing advice, training, and inspections for Environment, Health and Safety? If so, this is the role for you.

The primary purpose of the EHS Champion is to ensure in place / in use of EHS processes within the technical department of the MPU PVP, supports technical teams in the application of safety requirements for the day-to-day activities and check their related performance.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following
  • Coordinate and act as a SPOC for the the High Severity Risks management
  • Both schedule and manage Technical department risk analysis. Monitor time schedule adherence
  • Recommend and prioritize audit L1 and Gemba planning according to the risk universe, giving a specific focus to PTW and LOTO processes. You consolidate and follow up remedial action identified efficiency and effectivity. You promote continuous improvement according to the hierarchy of preventive measures
  • Give support to ensure application of the 3 green lights process when requested (goods and services order).
  • Collaborate with EHS team to check on the shopfloor that work equipment (including PPE) is safe, for purpose and adequately used
  • Support the EHS Manager for preparing L2, L3 and L4 EHS audits
  • Manage small to medium EHS projects
  • Collaborate with EHS team to drive EHS trainings within the MPU
  • When incident/accident occurs, you ensure the area is effectively secured. You are actively involved in the investigation to identify root cause and the follow-up of the remedial actions.
  • Ensure follow-up and check safety observations quality in the MPU. You consolidate the Risk Index Values and setup KPI’s to be reviewed during EHS performance (Tier or EHS Council).
  • Ensure appropriate communication for EHS topics
Why you?

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Scientific degree & Diploma level 2 EHSS prevention advisor level 2 (or commit to follow Level 2 later this year)
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting an Environment, Health and Safety office
Job Related Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Knowledge of the EHS Guidelines and Standards Belgium
  • Knowledge of maintenance activities
  • Skilled in risk analysis execution
  • Skilled in technical root cause failure finding
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Effective influencing skills – ability to influence at all levels of management and to energize a team towards to pursue common goals
  • Fluent in English is a must
