Analog Devices Inc’s Audio group is seeking a talented and experienced DSP engineer to port and integrate its products onto embedded earbud platforms.
The successful candidate will join the Audio Product Development team, in Leuven, Belgium, developing the next generation of audio software products. More concretely she/he will implement floating-point, fixed-point and DSP ports of the audio algorithms.
She/He will work in an international team of 4-6 engineers and align regularly with the algorithm engineers to bring reference software products to life with a top product grade quality in mind while monitoring profiling and performance figures.
Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:
- interaction with the audio research team to understand the algorithms
- study the architecture of the target platform (ARM MCU and/or audio DSP, floating-point and/or fixed point) to decide about porting strategy
- define testing strategy for the ported code validation
- implement the ported version and test it
- strive for optimal and reusable code
- measure performance of ported code
- package and support integration activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master or Bachelor degree in Electronics, Physics, Signal Processing, Acoustics, Computer Science or related discipline
- Solid background with floating-point and fixed-point C code and optimisation
- Experience with (constrained) embedded platforms: for example ARM M Cores, DSPs (Cadence/Tensilica Hifi, ...)
- Strong interest in audio processing algorithms
- Mindset for developing product-grade code using high-level software development practices, including integration into CI environment, proper testing, packaging, and releasing of the software
- Agile, pragmatic, hardworking and a “can do” mentality.
- Fluent in English both writing and speaking. English is the day to day language in the company.
- Team player but as well autonomous and self-organized.
- Based in Belgium, or willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of Python
- Experience on Qualcomm QCC (former CSR) platforms
- Embedded Machine learning porting and integration experience
- Experience working as part of a scrum team
