A company active in the insurance sector is currently looking to hire an Expert in Workmen’s Compensation Underwriting to join their offices in Antwerp. Thanks to your experience in finance and in underwriting, you will have the final technical responsibility for the civil liability branch.

Your main responsibilities as the new Expert in Workmen’s Compensation Underwriting will include:

  • Underwrite technically complex risks and negotiate with the parties involved.
  • Be the point of contact for your colleagues, account managers and brokers on technical issues.
  • Coach and develop your colleagues at a technical level and ensure that the team reaches a higher technical level.
  • Follow market developments and contribute to product developments - and adjustments.
  • Be the reference person in the market and an ambassador for the Group.

Your profile:

  • You have a Master’s degree in Economics or Finance, or equivalent experience in a similar function
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in Worker’s accident underwriting
  • You are fluent in Dutch and have a good knowledge of French

Your strengths:

  • You have in-depth knowledge and proven skills in underwriting, sales and the broker/agent network
  • You are communicative and analytical, solution and customer oriented and are strong in negotiations
  • You are willing to coach and share your knowledge to others
