For our client, an international company located in Beerse, we are currently looking for a Project Manager Finance.

In this role, you will be part of the EMEA Finance team and you will be responsible to steer and follow up IT projects regarding finance and financial tools.

This is a highly visible position that requires both detailed analytics as well as an ability to

operate from a big picture perspective to ensure alignment with the cross functional teams as

well as the countries.

    • a minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required preferably a major in accounting or finance. master’s degree, mba or other financial certifications (i.e. cpa, cma) are preferred.
    • a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience
    • fluency in spoken and written english is required. other languages are a plus
    • excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. the ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
    • individual must work well in an agile environment and be able to translate the market requirements to finance flows, shape the new environment and to drive independently the discussions with the several stakeholders
    • change management mindset will be key to drive success in this role
    • travel may be required up to 10%

    main tasks:

    general:

    • pro-actively play the role by thinking along, determining and guarding what the longer-term vision should be for their respective area
    • play a key role when discussing with the respective teams in the
    • operating companies (i.e., finance and related functions)
    • participate in change management activities, communicating to respective local stakeholders and take them along in the journey to the new way of working


    during requirements analysis:

    • provide insights and make decisions from regional perspective on how aspects of their respective area need to be understood, implemented
    • help work out with the business analysts how concretely items would have to be implemented
    • help consolidate proposals from local business groups to an emea-aligned result
    • ensure the group stays on course on what is required for the respective area, so that no gaps are left
    • validate the design/proposal, provide context on importance of implications


    during development phase:

    • be available for ad hoc questions in case of unclarity; in case decisions need to be made with implications on functionality
    • attend demos to verify that the direction is as appropriate
    • be available during intermediate testing to confirm direction, provide support during informal testing

    during testing phase:

    provide support to respective local colleagues during formal testing


    during rollout phase:

    • help communicate to respective local stakeholders
    • participate in the relevant training activities
