Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing complex financial, budgetary, and operational analyses associated with the development, reporting, and monitoring of the Mechanical Analysis Division’s (MAD) budget and performance. Require both financial analysis, process management skills and the ability to conceptualize in multiple organizational and fund dimensions; responsible for all aspects of financial management including plan, forecast, close, reporting, and legal entity cross charges and accruals. Ideal candidate has 3-5 years of finance experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly close process including accruals and legal entity cross charges
- Manage MAD’s headcount changes and maintain monthly expense forecasts
- Prepare annual budget and long-term financial planning with insightful analysis and review; ensure annual spending within budget
- Manage and support all MAD cost centers and associated hierarchies
- Develop cost rates used to support business analysis and cross-charges
- Develop monthly and quarterly reporting packages for MAD’s business leads
- Lead new reporting, process enhancements and drive initiatives and implementation
- Identify opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies; track cost saving measures
- Conduct monthly cost review and communicate results with detailed analysis
- Ad-hoc analysis as needed
Minimum requirements:
- Degree: Master of Science, Master of Business Administration and/or CPA,
- 3+ years of relevant education/ work experience in Finance
- Must have profound financial knowledge with strong focus on business analysis
- Prior experience working with Office, Essbase and SAP preferred
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Ability to quickly develop understanding of business characteristics
- Attention to detail, with ability to summarize information appropriately for the audience
- Enthusiastic, positive, can-do attitude
Preferred background:
- Degree: Master of Science, Master of Business Administration and/or CPA/CMA
- Experience in Software Industry a strong plus, preferably industrial software, though not required
