Functional Analyst

Nipro Digital Technologies Europe (NDTE) is a subsidiary of Nipro Europe Group Companies, a part of Nipro Corporation Japan, a leading global healthcare company with over 30.000 employees worldwide.

At NDTE we spend most of our time building NephroFlow, a process-oriented software platform for dialysis centers. Our software supports nephrologists and nurses in every step of the care process.

About the Role

As a functional analyst, you will be responsible for mapping, analysing and describing the adaptations to the NephroFlow software suite in order to meet our customers’ needs. You also validate change proposals and the implemented solutions with all relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, you also create and update software documentation as needed.

All of this is done in close collaboration with our customers and internal stakeholders (designers, developers, management).

Responsibilities

• Elicit user needs base on input from the sales team, customer interviews, feedback from end users, market studies and on strategic objectives identified by the product manager.
• Identify & conceptualise solutions to user needs.
• Document these solutions in software change requests within the set timeframes.
• Provide additional documentation where needed, such as: mock-ups, use cases, workflow charts & diagrams, …
• Write software specifications and end user documentation in structured and easy to understand format.
• Act as a sparring partner for the development team.
• Prevent scope creep in releases and projects
• Validate new features and changes with internal and external stakeholders throughout the R&D process

Profile

• Bachelor / Master degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a role as functional analyst or similar.
• Analytical, critical & conceptual thinking.
• A high-level understanding of software development practices and methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work across multiple projects and to align on goals and deliverables.
• Experience collaborating with designers, developers and customers.
• Proficiency in basic sketching/prototyping using tools such as Sketch or Figma.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  

  Nice-to-haves:

• Understanding of the internal workings of a dialysis center
• Hands-on software development experience
• Knowledge of IEEE 830 and ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148
• Knowledge of Dutch, French or other languages are a plus
