• The Antwerp Refinery, which is integrated with the Performance Intermediates Plant, is situated in the port area. With ongoing large and small investments, ExxonMobil ensures that the installations on the refinery site remain modern and efficient, and that the refinery retains its competitiveness.
• The Antwerp Performance Intermediates Plant is one of the largest and most modern plants in Europe that produces liquid hydrocarbons. The plant has been completely integrated with the refinery as part of an initiative to maximise efficiency.
• The Meerhout Polymers Plant is one of the the largest LDPE manufacturers in Europe and it supplies products to numerous industries. The plant is organisationally twinned with the Zwijndrecht Polymers Plant, which produces special types of polyethylene in relatively small volumes.

• In our Antwerp Refinery we are offering job opportunities to be a Graduate Project Engineer

What You Will DoAntwerp Refinery

• Be responsible for the cost, schedule and quality performance of multiple projects in the range of €1 Million up to €20 Million
• Lead and direct a diverse project team working across multiple functions and locations to deliver competitive projects in line with corporate, local and global requirements
• Be a Safety Leader, supporting the effective implementation of site and project safety processes in our goal of Nobody Gets Hurt
• Innovate and improve project competitiveness by embracing change, identifying enhanced work processes and driving efficiency improvements
• Carry out core Project Engineering activities, including:
• Conducting thorough project planning activities
• Managing engineering contractor performance and driving improvement plans where required
• Proactively anticipating project risks and developing mitigation strategies
• Conducting project procurement activities, including requisitioning of engineering, materials and equipment
• Interfacing with key stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout the project
• Completing project turnover and close-out activities to the operations organisation

About YouSkills and Qualifications

• Fluent in English language skills: understanding, reading, writing and speaking
• At least intermediate in Dutch/Flemmish language skills: understanding, reading, writing and speaking
• Education: Engineering discipline degree or equivalent - 5 year university education MSc Engineering preferred
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proactive, with an ability to anticipate, identify and resolve potential issues
• Effective leadership skills, including influencing with no direct formal authority
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with people from various backgrounds in developing innovative solutions

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

• No prior experience required
• Candidates with up to 3 years of experience in a similar role or industry are also welcome to apply
