Position overview

The role will

- mainly drive key Global People & Organization (P&O) initiatives as a Subject Matter Expert on core Talent Management areas such as Learning & Development, Succession & Development and Performance Management, and

- support some of the Global functions (Global IT with 90+ employees & Government Affairs with 30 employees) in the capacity of a P&O Business Partner on Talent Management topics with the aim of enabling the SVP(s) in driving a globally dispersed high performing team.

The role can be based in Belgium (Leuven), Norway (Asker) or Germany (Koblenz).

Roles & responsibilities

Global P&O Project Manager (80% of time)

  • Coordinate and implement activities, programs and strategic People plans in TOMRA:

*Execute different people processes like succession planning, mobility, DEI, Leadership development

*Identify and map capability & skill requirements and initiate actions to develop them

  • Act as a Culture Champion to ensure the roll out of the Culture & Values to foster a coherent experience, notably for global events such as Key Anniversaries, or dedicated programs on Diversity, Equity & Inclusions and TOMRA Safe
  • Ensure that critical Global P&O Processes are progressively reviewed and aligned to serve growth, finding the optimal balance between local agility and global impact, with the manager and employee experience at its core
  • Engage with the L&D community to continuously ensure best practice sharing that fosters a learning culture and prepares for a Digitally agile workforce ready for change & reinvention.

Business Partner to Global IT & Functional Heads (20%):

  • Equip the Sr. IT Leadership team with Change Management and collaboration tools to effectively roll out an enhanced IT service to the Global organisation
  • Support the SVP(s) on building a strong leaderships team with select Global development programs to drive a High Performance Team
  • Support on streamlining and coordinating the consistency in core Talent Management activities (Performance Management, Salary Planning & Talent Review) balancing a need for team coherence with the requirements of the local organisations hosting the team members
  • Use the Global team as a pilot for delivering a constant employee experience across all entities

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development or business-related field. Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
  • Fluent in English, another language is a plus
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Change Management, Organizational Development or Human Resources Consultancy acquired through experience in-house or in management consulting firm, ideally combined
  • Including 3+ years in international P&O project leadership with the ability to lead & influence others across the organization
  • Experience in aligning multiple P&O processes towards a shared framework
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels and across matrixed teams. Must have a solid understanding of business concepts tied to strategy, with a pragmatic approach for applying those concepts to work plans
  • A team player with the ability to influence the design, execution and measurement of impactful P&O programs from beginning to end
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Thrives in an ambiguous and fast-paced, international, highly matrixed environment
  • Energized by working with people from different cultural backgrounds
  • Analytical skills with ability to identify systems strengths and weaknesses and focused on continuously improving and simplifying
  • Highly flexible, self-driven and accountable, a strong team player with business acumen and humor.
