Job Purpose:

The successful candidate has a proven track record and has the necessary expertise to provide short-term leadership and management support to the Sales Directors. He/she has a natural leadership style and is perceived as a trustful leader capable of driving change. The Group Sales Director will provide day-to-day support for the sales teams and overseeing sales operations.The primary purpose of managing these 4 sales BUs is to ensure that each BU is aligned with the company’s overall sales strategy and profitable growth, while also maintaining a focus on the unique needs and requirements of each BU’s customer base. The Group Sales Director will work closely with the Sales Directors of each BU to ensure that they have the necessary resources and support to effectively execute the sales strategy, while also providing leadership and guidance to ensure consistency and alignment across the BUs.

Inaddition, the Group Sales Director for the Sales Department will be responsible for assessing the current state of the sales organization, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing a plan to improve the performance of the sales department.

Organization:

Will report directly to the CEO and be part of the Management Team

The Sales directors of the different BU’s, the marketing communication manager will report directly towards the Group Sales Director

Key Responsibilities:

Objective 1

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market, customers, and competition in the current set up of the EOC sales organization to create a Swot analyses and action plan.
  • Assess the current state of the sales organization, including the sales structure, sales processes, sales team performance, and sales targets.
  • Manage the overall sales budget and track expenses to ensure that they are in line with company goals.
  • Ensure that the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to effectively sell company products and services.
  • Provide coaching and support to the sales team as needed to improve performance.
  • Develop and implement sales policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Objective 2

  • Propose a new sales growth strategy and organizational set up that will address the current challenges and provide a future-proof growth solution for the organization.
  • Develop a roadmap for implementing the new sales structure, including the necessary training and support for the current sales team.
  • Oversee the implementation of the new sales strategy and organizational set up.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team to ensure that they have the necessary resources and support to effectively execute the new strategy.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the sales team and the effectiveness of the new sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with other members of the management team to ensure alignment between the sales strategy and the overall business strategy.
  • Align the proposed business model with the operational structure and supporting services.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in (Chemical) Business and proven track record in sales positions in preferable Chemical or hard Industry.
  • 15+ years of experience in sales management or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the management team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing change and leading teams through transitions.

The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with other members of the management team to ensure the success of the new sales strategy and organizational set up.
