As Head of Logistics, you are accountable for managing distribution plans, scheduling activities, creation of scenarii to optimize shipment plan.

You lead a team of Local Distribution Schedulers, and participate in implementing performance management.

Your Responsibilities

• You are accountable of the distribution plans of several distribution centers and, depending on distribution capacities, capabilities and strategy, the eventual reallocation of volumes between the different facilities to anticipate risks and issues, then maximizing the global output of distribution network.
• You coordinate and liaise with all key functions of GVSC and QA/QC network to make sure that shipment plan is aligned with GSK Vaccines volume targets and endorsed by key stakeholders.
• You ensure that inter-site distribution operations are also considered in distribution centers’ plans and schedules. You escalate any issues that could lead to supply gaps to existing governing bodies ( MDS, DD&OP, CCC, …)
• You lead and coordinate the DDS, MDS, and DD&OP meetings, and make sure that the different stakeholders are sending qualitative data, pre-reads and minutes to ensure the efficiency of the distribution P&S governance. You create an adequate connection with, Core Commercial Cycle key meetings i.e. SRM and GSRM.
• You make sure that all actions and decisions of key governance meetings are logged, tracked and cascaded to all levels of the organization when necessary.
• You ensure that timelines of key activities within the Distribution and CCC planning exercises are strictly and timely monitored and in line with the global calendar.
• You contribute to continuous improvement project management cross departments to maximize the efficiency of distribution planning, systems and processes (acting as reference point for planning teams on distribution centers)
• You identify and implement solutions to continuously improve and simplify the supply chain processes, and interfaces with key stakeholders and DCs
• You act as an expert in Problem Solving and data analysis
• You monitor Key performances indicators and key deliverables of the team
• You build continuous trust with stakeholders and DCs to make sure those global processes and projects are understood, communicated, implemented and committed within the network.
• You identify and analyze distribution variances vs plan, for tracking and reporting purposes and root cause removals.
• You monitor the accuracy of master data necessary to run the distribution plans and schedules, and escalate issues as appropriate.
• You define most appropriate KPIs and drive performance management in Vaccines Distribution Operation in connection with VDCC performance meeting, GVSC performance review and IOLT performance tower.
• You initiate and lead the required continuous improvement initiatives to maintain planning and scheduling capacities and capabilities at highest level across network

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals (must-have)

• University degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, with at least 6 years of experience in Operations and/or supply chain/planning role
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong influencing skills
• Ability to work in a matrix / transversal organization
• Ability to simplify complex processes
• Effective communication skills, including presentation skills
• Very good knowledge of ERP systems and MRPII principles with SAP (R/3 and APO SNP, other simulation tools)
• Sense of urgency, flexibility and accountability
• Enterprise thinking (end-to-end supply orientation, cross functional team spirit, sharing of good practices within the network)
• Proven Planning & Organizational skills
• Ability to lead and drive change
• Fluent French, very good written and spoken English
  

Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics it would be a plus (nice to have):

• APICS , Black Belt or Green Belt, Lean Sigma certification
• Knowledge of Italian language
