About the Job

The Head of Online is accountable for shaping the group’s online strategy in collaboration with the Marketing team. He/She leads the development of the group’s websites, balancing technical, marketing, and e-commerce demands. The main objectives are to boost website traffic, acquire new customers and convert them into loyal customers.
This role reports results to the CEO directly, and is responsible for customer and partner relationships.

The Head of Online is responsible for:
  • Defining and executing the online strategy, reporting results to management.
  • Developing the group’s websitesand monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Boosting website traffic through marketing campaigns, newsletters, etc.
  • Analyzing competitors and identifying new opportunities for website promotion.
  • Maximizing consumer value and gross revenue by following consumer patterns.
  • Maintaining website functionality, ensuring updates and processing customer feedback.
  • Ensuring website compliance with GDPR regulations.
  • Improving website revenues and expanding the online product offering.
Additionally, they will optimize the online presence by:
  • Overseeing customer communication and identifying valuable target groups.
  • Optimizing bonus ratios as an effective tool for re-activation and retention.
Finally, the Head of Online will lead and manage the team, including:
  • Meeting regularly with IT and Marketing departments.
  • Coordinating online actions with different teams.
  • Leading and coaching team members.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in (e)commerce, (web)marketing, or management of new technologies and at least 5 years of related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the web, its tools, and possibilities, including e-commerce sites and social media.
  • Familiarity with online business KPIs.
  • Proficiency in the Office suite.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Competence in analyzing competitors and developing an e-commerce plan with the marketing team.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and improve the conversion rate.
  • Fluency in English (additional national language skills a plus).
