What You Will Do As a High-Voltage Technician

Elia has one of the most reliable high-voltage grids in Europe, and that will be partly thanks to you. As a high-voltage technician, you will ensure that our grid and our fleet of transformers in your area remain in perfect condition. This involves many things
  • You will maintain and repair high-voltage control devices and circuits on our grid.
  • You will also look for the causes of any faults that arise.
  • You will take electrical measurements and familiarise yourself with new equipment.
  • You will work with an experienced colleague who will teach you all the tricks of the trade.
What You Can Do Already

Elia believes in working with a mix of young and experienced employees, so there is a place for everyone on our team. That said, because safety and quality are our top priorities, we do have a few basic requirements
  • You share our passion for technology and safety.
  • You have a technical secondary education diploma or a bachelor’s degree in electricity, mechanics or electromechanics.
  • You can analyse an electrical diagram and verify its correct implementation.
  • You are eager to learn and you have a sense of initiative.
  • You have a category B driving license.
