We have an amazing HR opportunity to join one of our really exciting areas of the business. This area is in a huge amount of growth and looking at some very exciting projects over the next couple of years.

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor who has solid experience within HR practices and has the ability to lead projects across the region. This is a huge opportunity for you to work with senior leaders of the business to make lots of changes and implements new strategies for the business moving forward.

This isn’t your typical HR role, the job will never be the same from day to day with so many variations keeping you engaged, challenged and excited about what the next project. You also get the chance to work across English, French and Dutch languages.

You will join a 5-person HR team and you will be the right-hand man of the HR Manager Benelux, whom you will be reporting into. This person has over 24 years of experience in HR for a number of very successful companies and will help build and develop your skills even further. They like to give you the freedom and autonomy to bring new ideas and changes to the business and you will be given additional responsibility of leading HR projects for the business where you can really make it your own.

This is a flexible, hybrid working role, giving you the work life balance tot work from home and manage your own diary in regards tot on-site office time.

The Ideal Person

• Proactive and enjoys taking imitative and working independently on projects

• Prepared to go to the office in Diegem 1 to 2 times a month

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide support to various Belux divisions with regard to recruitment, onboarding, remuneration and benefits, exit interviews, ... (cf. employee life cycle)
• Provide advice to executives on day-to-day HR matters in accordance with the legislative framework, rules and procedures (with support from the legal department)
• Initiate and follow up HR projects related to specific business needs e.g. adjustment of the work regulations, implementation of a bonus system, development of a job classification system, etc.
• Think in terms of optimization and efficiency and initiate projects for improvement.
• Provide frontline support to managers, team members, employees and other internal customers with all their employment questions at Avnet
• Formulate solutions to problems that require in-depth analysis

What We Are Looking For

• solid professional experience as an HR expert/generalist. Moreover, you are not afraid of the more technical HR aspects (e.g. salary, foreign employment,…)
• Familiar with Belgian social legislation; experience with project work is essential.
• A positive, customer-oriented and problem-solving attitude;
• Strong analytical mind with an eye for detail.
• Independent and autonomous professional, but also a real team player with a sense of humor;
• A bridge builder between different stakeholders Proactive and hands-on
• Excellent communicator in both Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is an absolute asset.
