Function

Our client’s ITIL-driven service desk consisting of 3 tiers supports the customers and our system engineers present at customers’ premises. Tier 1 does intake and resolves 70% of incidents, tier 2 focuses on the more complex problems and tier 3 is responsible for architectural work.

  • As a Tier 1 Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our customers’ ICT infrastructure. You are responsible for the telephone intake and online support for Tier 1 incidents.
  • As a Tier 2 Support Engineer, you are jointly responsible for dealing with more complex incidents or problems (including root cause analyses). This under the guidance of an incident coordinator. You also handle escalations of complex Tier 1 problems.
  • In-depth analysis of end-user problems is your main task. This ranges from installation of new software to problems with outlook, connections, access rights, DNS, AD, DHCP, TCP-IP ...
  • Our client’s customers number between 50 and 1,200 users. These environments are state-of-art and together with the service desk team and some 80 IT professionals, you will analyse and optimise the various technical aspects of the IT infrastructure.

Your profile

You have a (Bachelor’s) degree in a computer science/IT and have a first relevant experience as a 1st or 2nd line support engineer. Knowledge of ITIL is a strong plus.
You have already obtained a number of certificates and/or are willing to further certify yourself in several of the following technologies:

  • HP Servers and storage
  • TCP/IP, networking, firewalls, switching
  • Windows server ( 2012R2 - 2016 - 2019 )
  • Exchange 2016 - 2013
  • Office 365
  • VMware - HyperV
  • Backup Exec - VEEAM
  • SQL Server
  • XenApp - RDS
  • Azure and other cloud environments
  • N-Able monitoring
