Looking for an experienced Instrumentation Designer with extensive SPI and Autocad experience

Your Duties

As a (Senior) Instrument Designer you are responsible for designing and preparing building packages, including documents, MTO, lists and so on. In the position you also have the following responsibilities:
  • You design and calculate structures / systems
  • You prepare building drawings for structures designed by the engineer
  • You are responsible for design specifications
  • You work independently and/or in consultation with the engineer on detailed assembly drawings
  • You are responsible for monitoring the schedule, scope, budget and demand planning
  • You take decisions independently on materials and components
  • You check design details in combination with an onsite visit
  • You prepare estimates
  • You oversee draftsmen, (junior) draftsmen/designers and (junior) designers
  • You maintain contact with customers and third parties
  • You check and monitor the quality of (your own) drawings and designs
  • You report to the Discipline Engineer in the field
  • You report to the Project Leader / Manager on the project
Who Are You

As an Instrumentation Designer you have the following qualities:
  • You have a BSc
  • You have around 4 years’ relevant experience
  • Or: You have a relevant education with around 10 years’ relevant experience
  • You have appropriate knowledge of regulations and standards that apply in the field and you are able to interpret them correctly
  • You are familiar with MS Office and the Autocad and SPI software packages.
  • You have a good command of spoken and written Dutch and English
