As a Functional Analyst, are you fascinated by Data Science & Analytics, and do you know how to combine the best of both worlds with your affinity for IT? Then you are the person we are looking for! A job as Functional Analyst at Delhaize is more than just translating the needs of the business into specific IT actions. You challenge your stakeholders, and your expertise will help you to ascertain whether something is feasible or not. Your knowledge of data science also enables you to follow up on current trends, so that we, as an organization, are always up to speed with the latest trends.

You will join the IT team that mainly focuses on an efficient and innovative IT landscape for our internal services, also called the Support Services. More specifically, you have daily contacts with the departments working on BI and Data Science. Besides being an internal stakeholder, it’s also your responsibility to manage external partners.

  • You collect the needs of your stakeholders (both within your business and within the IT department) and translate them into specific IT actions.
  • You look at what is feasible and what is not to steer the business or your IT colleagues in the right direction if needed.
  • You coordinate the development process together with your colleagues in the development team to achieve the predetermined expectations.
  • You provide training/education to end users to make sure that applications are used efficiently.
  • You provide both functional and technical support in the event of questions or problems.

Your profile

  • You have a master’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, VAL, .Net is required.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving oriented.
  • Good and efficient communication is your second nature.
  • A proactive and positive mindset is an important asset.
  • Knowledge of English, and good knowledge of French/Dutch are absolute requirements.
