For its IT Department based in the European Head office, (Belgium-Oudenaarde), Samsonite is currently looking for a dynamic:
IT Project Manager EDI
As a dynamic member of the IT team in a multinational environment, you will be responsible for the EDI Projects. You will be an expert, architect & client point of contact in the EDI field.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be in charge in the entire EDI project lifecycle, from the initial set-up to the final delivery of the project.
  • Function as client point of contact to facilitate requirements gathering, developing work estimates, ensuring deliverables are communicated, etc. Identify areas for improvement and make suggestions to gain efficiency.
  • Act as an expert & architect in the EDI field, you will set up connections and mappings with partners through the Seeburger software.
  • Transport protocols such as AS2, SFTP, X400, HTTP sound familiar to you, as well as the file formats EDIFACT, SAP Idocs, ...
  • Interact with end users to analyze and understand their requirements: carefully prepares and runs workshops, reviews documentation needs, etc.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of test scripts.
  • Provide operational support to key-users & end-users.
  • Constantly maintain up-to-date application documentation.
Applicants should ideally:
  • Demonstrate a successful 3 years working experience in EDI in the SAP landscape.
  • Possess a deep knowledge of EDI process with possible mappings in the OTC flows (Pricat, Orders, Ordrsp, Desadv, Invoic, …).
  • Have experience with Seeburger BIS software, e-Invoicing or PEPPOL is a plus.
  • Prove a solid technical IT background.
  • Continuously embrace new technologies.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Be proactive and demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Be result driven.
  • Show a high degree of flexibility.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple EDI projects and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to a multicultural environment.
  • Prove a strong customer mind-set.
