Java Architect

As a Java Architect specialized in Java EE, you will be part of the Connectivity team.

Tasks
  • You will set out the architectural roadmap for the integration services between our own HIS/CIS system and other platforms within the hospital environment
  • You create enterprise applications for the healthcare sector that are used globally for more than 126 million patients
  • You will work on patient-related data and can ensure high quality software built to last
  • You actively develop features on our framework, and guard the overall code quality of the team’s contributions
  • You will collaborate with different R&D teams in a distributed environment
  • You can embrace the Agile software development methodology: you deliver working software after each 2-week development cycle
  • You start and maintain initiatives to develop the technical competencies within the team
Profile
  • You have a Bachelor- or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • You can handle a large and complicated code base
  • You are able to set out an architectural roadmap
  • You have proven capability to get acquainted easily with a complex domain
  • You can persuade and motivate the team to get behind your vision
  • You are comfortable expressing yourself within the team
  • You are fluent in English
Technical knowledge
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with Java EE software development using Jenkins, Maven, Hibernate, JUnit and Rest
  • You are skilled in Java 8/11, JEE7, WildFly, Oracle SQL, Mockito, SVN
  • Ideally you have a knowledge of interoperability standards (IHE, HL7, FHIR)
