Currently we are looking for a Junior Business Controller to join our team in Belgium. As the new Junior Business Controller you will end up at the marketing & sales headquarters of Samsung Benelux at Diegem. Your new team of (young) professionals is located in the Finance department.

In this educational position at Samsung you can develop yourself further and get to know the entire organization from top to bottom. You will come into contact with several departments within Samsung and you will become acquainted with all facets of Finance.

Your analytical insights in the field of Finance, Strategy and Economics with in-depth knowledge of the Finance sector, you can now apply in practice to eventually grow to a top position.

Rôle et Responsabilités

What does your first year at Samsung look like?

In the beginning you will be involved in creating and managing budgets in Samsung’s Pricing System: Cores. Through Cores you get to know the different types of promotions, programs, divisions and accounts within Samsung.

After you know Cores inside out, you will start preparing financial reports, such as Market Insight reports and ROI analyzes, and spend time Data Crunching using SQL and Power BI, so that you and the team are always on top of the data and the Can properly guide sales divisions with current and future promotions.

In addition, you will come more into contact with our Claims division, this division ensures that our partners are paid on time. Good cooperation is therefore a must!

After you have passed all this, you are a true Business Controller and you will be in charge of a division within Samsung. You could be in charge of the financial aspects of, for example, the Television division or perhaps even the Mobile Phone division. You will be able to see your impact on television, in the media, and in on- and offline stores every day!

As a Business Controller you support the Sales division in all financial aspects you can think of. You are the contact person for the Sales division within Finance and ensure that all promotions and contracts run smoothly.

In addition, you also ensure that your division is financially healthy and you report this monthly to the head office during the monthly Forecast and Closing.

Who are you?

• You have a completed a Bachelor/Master in the field of Finance, Economics or Business Administration
• Available full-time immediately
• Very good command of the Dutch and English languages
• Good skills with Excel. You don’t turn your hand for pivot tables. You have more than micro knowledge of macros. With your knowledge of making graphs you continue the upward trend
• Strong analytical skills, accurate, problem-solving skills and you think beyond just your own range of duties;
• Entrepreneurial, you like to take initiative and you stand firmly in your shoes;
• Very passionate in achieving goals and business targets and can work well together in a team.
