Since 2015, the company has been investing in hydrogen technologies with the ambition of being a leading player across the whole hydrogen value chain.In order to reach the objectives in a new but fast growing and technology evolving market, Plastic Omnium has set up a dedicated Division “New Energies division” focusing on Hydrogen Storage, Fuel Cell Stack and Integrated Hydrogen Systems.For the New energies Division, we are searching for a Laboratory EngineerThe primary missions of the Laboratory Engineer within the organization are as follows:
  • Support the activities related to the tuning, evaluation, validation and certification of products from New Energies research & development projects in the field of High Pressure Systems
  • Guarantee the satisfaction of the projects
  • Guarantee the 0 accident
  • Participate to the development of test means and laboratory equipment
  • Participate to the know-how capitalization in Laboratory competences
The Main Responsibilities Include
  • Leads Hydrogen Testing & Material Testing inside the Laboratory of New Energies
    • Is the reference person regarding Hydrogen Testing especially the test bench of D-Deltatech
    • Proposes and defines best test methodology, provides advices and defines validation tests
    • Follows external laboratories In case of test externalization (except for certification purpose)
    • Manages the technical assistance (TA) in his field of expertize
    • Leads technicians and schedules the tasks related to working requests and validation plan tests and takes part to the realization of tests when necessary
    • Is responsible of the means related to his/her activities (benches always ready for certification testing)
    • Defines and specifies new means in his/her fields of competencies
    • Reviews or writes test reports relative to gas and or material tests
    • Participates to 8D or any other kind of analysis of non-compliant tests
  • Supports R&D projects
    • Brings his/her knowledge and expertise to the research & development projects following needs
    • Contributes to the definition of validation tools used by the Laboratory team
    • Creates his/her network in the field of High Pressure Systems testing, especially in gas tests (H2 & CNG)
  • Participates to the Laboratory safety
    • Takes into account the safety risks, especially those linked to hydrogen, in the definition and the realization of validation tests
    • Participates to the actions defined by the laboratory manager and HSE responsible
    • Respects all safety rules and behaves according to the target of 0 accident
  • Lab Quality leader
    • Is the Quality representative for the Laboratory of New Energies
    • Leads, follows and put in place action plans in order to be compliant with PO & IATF standards
