Our engineering department has a key role within the organization and is the link between R&D and our different plants. The department works on offering and implementing solutions, regarding renewing and updating equipment, energy saving solutions, materials, link between IT/OT and this keeping in mind the expectations of our stakeholders (customer, manufacturing plants and their staff, legal and planet.).

As Engineering Project Lead, reporting directly to our Engineering Director, you will be responsible for efficient support for the manufacturing departments, as well as project leader, as challenger and as sparring partner.

What will you do?

• Create, manage and execute together with your team the CAPEX budget
• Coordinate execution of all solutions (technology and capacity) as a project manager
• You will be the project owner of bigger machine & equipment projects (from scoping with your internal customer until final release and handover to the plant
• You will supervise the management and care of the manufacturing facilities and their utilityprovision
• You are the owner of the energy strategy of the plant (contracts, own production, future solutions… )
• You will support the digital transition of our manufacturing equipment
• You will manage a small team of 3-4 people
• You will organize a meeting/communication/reporting structure to ensure that the needs of your main stakeholders are met (plant mgr., maintenance responsible, safety, environment, finance, purchase)
• You will pro-actively promote and initiate a continuous improvement way-of-thinking

What is your profile?

• Master industrial / civil engineer in a technical field (electromechanics, mechanical engineering, automation, ...) or bachelor equivalent by experience.
• Min. 3 years’ experience preferably in a production environment
• Skilled in project- and stakeholder management
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Curious mindset, ingenuity
• Experience with or interest in energy saving projects is a big plus
• Knowledge of business and management principles
• Leadership, teambuilding, and mentoring skills
• Great analytical and technical skills
• You have excellent communicationand interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Dutch is a definite plus (local plant team members)
• Global thinking / willing to travel internationally (about 15% of your time) to partners/ suppliers, fairs, intercompany...
