We are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to manage the lifecycle of scientific software across multiple regions, including testing, installation, patching, and configuration. The role involves supporting scientific and business applications, developing automation strategies, and improving system stability, security, and scalability. The candidate will collaborate with teams on-premises, in the cloud, and in hybrid environments while implementing best practices in CloudOps and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage compute platforms and services for advanced computing needs.
  • Support scientific workflows through troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Develop and implement CloudOps best practices in Life Sciences.
  • Lead virtual teams in defining computing solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Provide engineering and application support for incidents and problem-solving.
  • Manage cloud-hosted production, staging, testing, and development environments.
  • Create and optimize workflows to address evolving user needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven Linux System Administration experience.
  • Managing High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
  • Experience with scientific/research applications and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Strong time-management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Life Sciences sector.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
