We are looking for a passionate Machine Learning Engineer!

You will be part of our team that is developing clinical analytics solutions that are integrated into hospital information systems. You will be contributing to “clinalytix” - the AI solution for the prediction of undesired events in medical treatments as well as our internal NLP services.

You will help develop our machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) framework.

Key Accountabilities

As a Machine Learning Engineer you are responsible for:

• Developing machine learning models for clinical and operational risk and quality performance improvement in hospitals.
• Applying machine learning and deep learning on hospital data to develop machine learning and natural language processing models for clinical use cases helping with treating the patients of our customers.
• Understanding the functional requirements of our customers, taking part in developing new machine learning applications end-to-end and documenting your accomplishments.
• Analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data and presenting findings in a clear and consistent manner to your team members.
• Developing solutions based upon best practices used in the team, methodologies, and state-of-the-art algorithms.

Education & Experience

Essential

• You hold a Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent discipline.
• You have experience in programming, ideally in developing machine learning and natural language processing applications.
• You have knowledge of the software development lifecycle (e.g. unit testing, optimization, scalability, continuous integration, debugging and documentation).
• You are a problem solver with an analytical mind.
• You are eager to learn and curious about the latest trends and developments in software engineering, machine learning and the healthcare industry.
• You have good communication skills and you can translate complex ideas, concepts, and reports into clear presentations.
• You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch (for Belgium) or Spanish (for Malaga) is an asset
• You are familiar with data processing, analyzing and visualizing data, and with some of the following technologies or techniques:

• A medical background is an asset.
