You are sitting outside on a terrace with some friends. The sun is shining and it is pleasantly crowded, there are plenty of tourists in the city. It is always fascinating; you can often immediately see what nationality someone is. A Belgian, a Dutchman, a Frenchman. You just feel and see it. It’s all in the little nuances. In your role as marketer in our (Dutch) company you know exactly which nuances play a crucial role in reaching the right target group. For example, a slogan or title that works great in the Netherlands cannot be used just like that in France or Wallonia. As a marketer you are in your element with foreign languages and cultures. We are originally a Dutch company, but we are increasingly expanding in Belgium, and the gates to France are also wide open for us. An exciting phase; internationalizing. But that is precisely what attracted you to this challenge a few months ago. Most of our communication tools are still only in Dutch, for example. You see this as a great challenge. And what else you find so cool: you play a very important role in realizing our growth ambitions in France and French-speaking Belgium. We rely on your expertise.

We will first introduce ourselves: Kruitbosch, nice to meet you! We are a family business from Zwolle (NL) with a rich history. We develop all kinds of bikes: from cool bikes for the commuter to practical family e-bikes. In addition, we have a very wide range of parts and accessories. This is how we turn something as ordinary as a bicycle into something very special. What once began as a local wholesaler has grown in over 67 years to become a service-oriented wholesaler and retail partner in bicycles, parts and accessories. We serve bicycle stores in the Netherlands and Belgium. And we have ambitions that go beyond that, with our successful brands Alpina and Cortina and certainly with our wholesale business. We are a powerful, agile and somewhat stubborn organization that is involved, reliable and dynamic in the game. We are Kruitbosch, we make bicycles special!

Who are we looking for? To realize our growth ambitions in Wallonia and France, we are looking for a marketeer. Someone who creates compelling and distinctive content in French and who ensures that the message fits our brands and our image. Someone who loves a challenge, goes for the unknown and contributes directly to our success in France and French-speaking Belgium.

As a marketer:

• You are our French language and culture expert.
• Have an eye for detail and a view of the bigger picture.
• You are the driving force behind the development and strong and future-oriented positioning of all dealer marketing in Wallonia and France.
• You are the coordinator of all communication tools for French-speaking areas.

We are of course primarily looking for a marketer who fits in perfectly with us in terms of character, motivation and vision. In addition, our ideal candidate is in all likelihood:

• A multilingual marketer with at least 3 years of experience in a marketing department or at a marketing agency. You can convert Dutch and English content to French flawlessly and appropriately.
• An independent person who senses when it is wise to spar with a colleague about the content and approach of a campaign. After all, you can’t know everything.
• An enthusiastic creative who is good at planning and organizing. You make a feasible planning independently and set the right priorities. An important holiday? You anticipate this.

Who and for whom do you work?

The team in Belgium now consists of 7 enthusiastic colleagues: account managers, internal account managers, a marketer and our sales manager Jan. In Lier (B) we have a beautiful office where everyone meets on a regular basis. In addition, we work from home. We all have the same goal; to put our company further on the map in Belgium and France. In the coming years ’team France’ will take further shape. In total, we work with about 250 people at Kruitbosch. Commitment, reliability and dynamism are our core values, but above all we are a very human organization. We want to learn from each other, inspire each other and be inspired. We find it important that people are in their power and can do what gives them energy.

What do you do during a working day?

• You are responsible for the development of Kruitbosch’s exclusive brand experience internationally.
• You are responsible for all French language communication towards our French speaking customers.
• You set up and execute the dealer marketing plan.
• You coordinate matters with the B2B e-commerce team at the head office in the Netherlands.
• You come up with creative actions and communications towards dealers in France and Wallonia.
• You will make ’Dutch’ content French, for example by translating newsletters and adapting visual content on the website.
