Job Purpose and Impact

The Marketing Communication Specialist EMEA is responsible for increasing the reach and impact of the designated business to become the partner of choice for present and future customers. In this role, you will develop high value and influential content, leading communications and optimizing the execution and implementation of the marketing activations at the product line level, inspiring customer interactions.

The role sits within the Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate (CCC) EMEA Commercial Marketing Team, an international and young team that is constantly growing. Next to collaborating within your team, you will work closely with global communications, social media, sales and technical service teams across the business. This is a temporary position for 12 months (role can possibly be extended to a permanent role).

We seek a professional who is eager to take on this challenge in a fast-paced, dynamic business, who is passionate about chocolate and cocoa and is willing to learn every day to help create the best stories and digital media plans to communicate information about products or services to the market.

Key Accountabilities
  • Identify and implement marketing strategies and programs in collaboration with sales and technical teams.
  • Develop content from idea to execution, including communication, trade marketing, sales materials, product launches, value propositions, online and offline advertising, promotions, sponsorships, workshops, trade fairs, employee communications, newsletters, websites and social media.
  • Advise product line commercial marketing managers on the execution of their activations and on developing effective and efficient communications with the end goal to strengthen value propositions and ensure consistency in communications towards customers.
  • Lead customer meetings and ensure the utilization of customer insights, collaborating with the sales and technical services teams, with the end goal of coaching customers in the development of their innovation and marketing strategies.
  • Responsible for budget allocated and for measuring, testing, tracking and reporting performance metrics.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Digital marketing experience and activations (B2B specific experience is a plus).
  • Storytelling capabilities (experience in agency appreciated).
  • Experience in complex corporate environments.
  • Project management skills and able to interact with vendor/agencies.
  • French language skills are appreciated.
  • Strong planner and able to prioritize multiple projects at the same time.
