The Institute of Internal Auditors-Belgium (IIA Belgium) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the advancement and development of the internal audit profession in Belgium. IIA Belgium is affiliated to the Global Institute of Internal Auditors, based in the USA. Our core business is organizing trainings and events for our members, we support the certification of our auditors, we inform them on guidance, standards and good practices and we promote the internal audit profession within organizations. We are currently based in the business center of Diegem (Pegasuslaan 5).

As Our Marketing Officer, Your Main Tasks Consist Of
  • Marketing and communication
    • Provide for social media posts (LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram).
    • Write and edit PR, promotional, and publicity copy for press releases, brochures, newsletters, periodicals, video scripts, presentations, editorial pieces, annual reports, web pages, and social media.
    • Creates and develops graphic design of marketing materials and ensures the IIA‘s visibility in the relevant market.
    • Develop teasers, cartoons and record movies for promotion purposes.
    • Follow up on sponsorship contracts and opportunities.
    • Follow up on publications of IIA Global and Audit Magazine.
    • Follow up on job add opportunities.
    • Prepare and support general communications, mailings and announcements.
    • Liaising with universities on a regular basis.
  • Events, training and other initiatives
    • Support the YouTube initiatives and podcasts.
    • Set up the Zoom calls for online trainings.
    • Identification and contacts with (potential) speakers.
  • Website
    • Publications on home page and other pages website.
You will also support our other colleague in the management of memberships, trainings, communities and events.

In addition, you will be involved in various ad hoc projects

You are a strong team player with a solid educational background and/or experience in marketing.

Other Requirements Are
  • Preferably a degree in marketing or PR related studies.
  • Experience in public relations, journalism and/or corporate communications is a major advantage.
  • Experience and or knowledge of Design programs such as Mac platform using InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • You are fluent in English and ideally also French and/or Dutch speaking.
  • High-level proficiency in critical communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written communications.
  • Orientation toward building and encouraging positive relationships.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing scenarios, remaining calm under pressure.
  • Ability to self-motivate and set/achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates comfort interacting with leaders of all levels and types of organization.
  • Work independently and diligently leading to completion of projects.
