About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with proven experience in Siemens NX to join our engineering team working on large-scale steel structures and custom-built machinery for the maritime industry. You will contribute to the full design process — from concept to production — delivering robust and high-quality mechanical solutions for demanding offshore and port applications.
Key Responsibilities
- 3D design and modelling of heavy-duty mechanical components and steel assemblies using Siemens NX
- Development of detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation
- Ensure designs meet mechanical strength, safety, and functional requirements for marine environments
- Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and production teams during all project phases
- Support prototyping, testing, and manufacturing activities on-site
- Take part in design reviews and continuous improvement efforts
Profile & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design for machine building or steel construction
- Strong command of Siemens NX and familiarity with PDM systems
- Solid understanding of materials, welding, and manufacturing techniques for large steel components
- Detail-oriented with a hands-on mindset
- Fluency in Dutch and/or English
